The #MeToo movement brought an issue marginalized groups have been dealing with for far too long to the forefront and it’s time we discuss Canada’s role in it. This panel will examine the root causes of sexual violence in the workplace – often referred to as sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse. In examining the gendered nature of workplaces associated with Canada’s global cooperation, panelists from across the development and security sectors will reflect upon best-practices and lessons-learned in the prevention of sexual violence in the workplace and most importantly, changing toxic workplace cultures that allow these behaviours to flourish.
